well becca gained the weight.. she now weighs 5 pounds and 14 ounces.. she is competely healthy.. and she almost rolled over twice today at the docs.. we also got her to nurse a little .. she is doing good.. the doc said that we can still wait or we can go ahead and slowly let others come and see her.. the only thing is we dont want people who are sick or those who have been around them that have been sick.. and you will need to call first.. otherwise it will be some time next year.. and yes we will have becca blessed in freedom next year in the spring / summer time.. thank u to everyone who has prayed for us and for becca please keep it up.. its so good to have her home..
please keep her name in the temple.... i am so glad that grandma stayed home with me wednesday through friday and then stayed home to take care of becca while cory and i went to grandma hansens funeral it wasnt easy.. but it was worth it.. i am glad that after 19 years apart grandma and grandpa hansen are finally together again.. and that she isnt suffering any more..

becca had her first check up care with the ped doc in jackson yesterday and she is doing good almost peed on the doc.. he said that he is amazed at how developed she is and her reflexes are really good and that she is growing and cute.. she is up to 5 pounds and 5 ounces... and she eats every 3 hours or so sometimes she will eat earlyer than that. she knows how to poop fine and pee too. she takes a bottle very well and formula that she has to have since she is a premiee and will have to have for at least the first 6 months.. she wont nurse though.. and i have been pumping but i am really starting to get frustrated cause i cant seem to produce enough for how often she eats.. last night was really rough she would not settle down and then when she did it was like after 4am this morning from going to see the doc and the cold air and stimulation stuff.. but she has done better today.. i was able to have a short nap today but i havent felt well i c-section is bothering me and i have felt sick to my stomach i think alot of it is stress and lack of sleep and starting to be frustrated.. in the hospital they hardley let me nurse and they mostly gave her a bottle so lucky she will take a bottle and she would nurse now i can barley get her to its like 1 min if i get lucky and then she screams and wont have anything to do with nurseing and just wants a bottle... and the lacation specialist they have here i dont want to even talk to since i havent heard anything really good.. i did hear that she is a miracle worker but leaving burses on the back of the babies heads/necks and the fact that a doctor isnt impressed with her method i am not going to put any harm towards my baby...
so that is the update on becca.. we are glad to be home.. we arent going to be happy when grandma goes back to work believe it or not she is helping more than she thinks.. please keep praying for us and keep her name in the temple.. thank you.. if its not asking to much please pray that becca will start to nurse soon...

FINALLY!!! the nurse just called and said she is ready to come home and that the doctor is releaseing her.. cory and i are going up there tonight to stay since we are supposed to stay in a transition room for a night and get told kind of how to take care of her and stuff... our prayers have been answered becca will be home tomorrow... thank you thank you for your prayers and her name being in the temple... please continue to pray for her and keep her name in the temple.. we are very blessed and very grateful..

so i talked to the nurse today and she said that last night becca was at 75% of her feeding but today so far she is at 85% of her feeding and if she kept it up they were going to take out the feeding tube tomorrow and see how she does. she also said that if she does good without it she maybe coming home by tuesday or wednesday of this week. becca is now at 5 pounds. and doing so good. we are so proud of our little miracle baby and love her so much. thank you to all who have prayed for her and put her name in the temple it means alot to us. please continue to do so. we are very blessed.

so becca got moved to another spot and this is a good thing its where they get ready to send them home. and its the lesser critical area. she is up on her weight 4pounds 13 1/2 ounces. she is improving everyday. we love her very much, and cant wait to bring her home. she is up to 79% on her feedings. and she has to be at 80% feedings and then they can do another test. we are hoping that when she hits her 1 month mark will be able to bring her home. but then again its up to becca.
please continue to pray for her and please keep her name in the temple. we are truely blessed to have becca apart of our family and to be alive and doing so well.

becca passed her car seat test however her feedings went down to 61% so she has to stay... they are wanting her feedings to be at 80% and then to do another carseat test and pass both to come home. she is getting so big there are 3 outfits that dont fit her anymore. we were told that we could bring our own clothes and blankets to her. but they have to be specially washed. i hope that she will be home soon. the doctor says a week before her due date which is christmas week or before is when he thinks she will go home. she could have gone home today but since her feedings dropped they wont send her home. please please please keep praying for her and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep her name in the temple. thank you all for the prayers they are working.

becca did it. she got to the 80% feeding tonight. she weighs 4pounds 12 1/2 ounces. its at 2080 and for her to be at 13ounces is 2083. the doctor said he may do the carseat test tomorrow if not sometime next week. if and once she passes the carseat test they will take out the feeding tube. the carseat test is they put them in carseat and strap them like they are leaving hook them up to monitors or something to that affect. to see if they can maintain their own breathing and ox. if so then they pass and can go home. so hopefully when she is 1month old i will be taking her home. please continue to pray for her and keep her name in the temple. we are very very grateful to have her here. she has had her ups and downs but all babies go through that at some point or another.

Well Becca Boo gained the weight that she needed to. She is @ 4 Lbs 12 Oz now and she is only 3 weeks old today. She has a spit fire attitude (like her mother) and loves to wear herself out by a vigurious sucking sessions with her binki. Her body temp is a perfect 37 degrees C. or for those that are in the moderen numeric times it is 98.6. She is doing well and keeping the nurses entertained with her faces she pulls while she sleeps and she keeps coming up with questions for her favorite nurse Brandy. You see every time Brandy is working around Becca she raises her hand with all these questions. Yes she is a hand raiser. Misty gets to take the car seat with her for the car seat test and she is @ 66% in her feedings she eats like me and i'm very proud of her. Please keep the prayers coming she still has a bit to go still and her name in the temples on the prayer rolls. We are indeed very greatful for them and appreciate them too.

well i got a call from the nurse saying to bring the carseat with me tomorrow when i go up. yes its a step closer to coming home. becca is at 63% of her oral feedings and has to be at 80% to come home. she now weighs. 4pounds 11 ounces. 5 more to go and she will be at 5 pounds. she is already passed her birth weight and getting bigger and stronger every day. we are so thankful and blessed to have her in our lives and living and doing so well. we cant wait to bring her home. we are hoping that we can do that when she turns a month old and yes as of today she is at 35 weeks and 3 weeks old. holy cow !!! where in the world did the time go???

so as of today the doc said that becca is at 50% of her feeding and that she needs to be at 80% in order to come home. so hopefully that will happen soon. and hopefully that light will kick in and say ok lets go home. i was able to go up to idaho falls today to be with becca it wasnt planned a lady in the ward texted me last night and asked if i had any plans for today and didnt and she was heading up there so i rode with her. i will be going up to if agian thursday for a docs appt for myself and then to see becca. i just keep hoping and praying that by next week hopefully that she will be ready to come home. please pray for her and keep her name in the temple.

so becca now weighs 4pounds and 10ounces she has been gaining the weight. the doc says that as soon as she takes to the bottle more and or nurses more then they will take out the feeding tube in her nose and she will be a step closer to coming home. it is all up to becca. we are so ready for her to be home. she is still doing really good. its just that stupid light needs to click on for her soon. so that she can come home. in the mean time we are trying to be patient and wait. we are able to come up to see becca on weekends and i can usually come on thursdays to see her. and if i get really lucky ward members come to if and i get to come with them and spend sometime with becca. i just wish that i could bring her home.
please please please please continue to pray for becca and keep her name in the temple.
on a side note my health is doing better platlets are actually higher than they have ever been and they are slowly taking me off steriods and my blood pressure is coming down to somewhat normal.

i talked to beccas nurse paula she is a good nurse. becca gained the weight. she is at 4pounds 8 ounces. and she finished a bottle and was still hungrey. so they gave her 10 mg. which isnt really alot but it feed her. she is doing good with her body temp. and they are keeping her in an open crib. her ox level is good. she is growing and doing very well. doc says if she keeps up with the bottle feeding really well he may try and send her home by the 9th. which would put her at 1 month. we are so glad that she is doing this well. please please keep her in your prayers and her name in the temple.

cory talked to the doc today since he was taking care of other babies and wanted to know how becca is really doing since we hear from the nurses all the time" she is good". the doc said that she is really doing good. and that she is above average of what most preemies are at. and that her eating is always improving and that her ox is good and she is still in an open crib since her body temp is really good. she has been nurseing from me and almost has a full feeding. she gets about 12 min. in out of 15min and they say 10 min is half feeding and 15 to 20 is full so she is in between with nurseing. but the doc says its all up to becca on when she comes home. he says that a light will click on sooner with girls than with boys.

ok so becca gained the weight. she is now up to 4 pounds and 61/2 ounces. she almost finished a bottle. she did nurse for 12 min. and then took a bottle and finished that and refused to go to sleep for very long at 5:30pm. but at 8pm she is actually asleep. her body temp is good. and earlyer it was perfect. becca is growing and has a really good nurse tonight. i just wish that she could always have good nurses.
we did get a camera and plan to finish taking pics and then we will put them on a cd and then download them to the computer and post them of her.

becca is doing good. she is growing she weighed 4 pounds 5 1/2 ounces last night. so she is gaining the weight. and is so cute, she goes through so many different facial expressions its so hard to believe that she has so many. she eats really good with a bottle. now we just have to get her used to nurseing and then i will be happier. everyone keeps asking the same question and the answer is we could go home with 1 week to the end of dec when she was due. it all depends on becca. she is the one incharge. we have liked some of her nurses. others i have had a really hard time around since they are trying to tell me what to do with my daughter and such and i dont mind advice but seriously its more like if we dont listen to them then all hell breaks loose. i will just be glad to go home. we are hoping to add more photos of becca.

well becca had a good thanksgiving. she gained the weight and is now up to 4pounds and 4 1/2 ounces. she has been eating good. and has been in an open crib for the past 24 hours now. the doc came and said that he gives becca 2 more weeks if that. she has been doing good with maintaining her own body temp. and ox level. and taking to a bottle. she has nursed before but for some reason she wouldnt do it at 2:30 today. but lucky she took a bottle. so ya she is doing good. she loves being held. and hates having her arms all wrapped up and tight. she loves to move her legs and arms. she has no problem pooping or peeing. she is a keeper. thank you for all the prayers they are defentily welcomed and helps.

so this is the start of my first blogging. this is for us and for an update for becca.
cory and i have been married for 5 years we have 3 kids. kalei mae carter was born and passed away july 19, 2007. harold colton carter was born and passed away october 14, 2008. we had 2 misscarriages and then got pregnant and it wasnt planned with becca. becca lorene carter was born november 9, 2011.
she was born at 33 exactly. she weighed 3pounds 13 ounces. she did lose weight but has gained it back she now weighs 4pounds. she is in the nicu in idaho falls at eirmc. as of today she is 2 weeks old and at 35 weeks. we have held her and changed her diaper and checked her temperature. she is growing. she has been in an incubator and was in an open crib for about 4 days but that was when she was about a week old, that wasnt good to leave her out that long. but they will see if she can do it this time since she is gaining the weight and is a little bigger and stronger. she does have a tube feeder in her nose. she has nursed and has taken a bottle and just this morning she actually finshed a bottle. so she is making progress. she does have a fisty little personality and attitude.
we will keep you all up to date as much as possible. all we ask is to please keep praying for us and keep her name in the temple.
she can have visitors, we are asking that if you have been sick or have been around others that are sick not to come and see her. it is rsv season. and you do have to be 18 or older. if you want to come and see her, please let cory and i know. we have to be there in order for you to see her. cory and i will be in idaho falls for thanksgiving and we will leave to come home sunday evening.
